I tried to charge a new page, and the same problem occurred.Ī bit later I tried again and the problem had disappeared. Just after that the page was completely charged, the connection was back to a normal state. The web page (on wikipedia) have taken a lot of time to be completely charged. But when a clicked on a link to open a new web page, the ping reported a lot of packet loss and the bit-rate of the file on bittorrent became suddenly very low. I was downloading a file via bittorrent, the speed was very good. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I've installed compat-wireless, but the problem is still there. The System Information gives the following information:(my router is now set to 802.I have a Sony Vaio VPC-EB1S1E with an Atheros AR9285 card, and the wireless has very poor performances. Installation method: iATKOS L1, (setup has been booted with "-v npci=0x2000" to avoid PCI Configuration Begin Error), Mac OS X 10.7.1ĬPU: Intel Celeron Dual-Core T3000 1.80 Ghz (tried also a few(2-3) others but those gave KP or didn’t work at all.) By the way, I had the same problem with Snow Leopard 10.6.3!(with other kext) When the router is set to b/g mode, WPA2 works like a charm. The encryption may not be the problem(WPA2), because when encountering this problem I tried connecting to our n network with disabling security, or enabling only WEP, but connection was still not working. Same goes for it when I try the whole manual connection. When I search for a 802.11n network, it tries to connect with DHCP, but after a period of time instead of connecting it gets only a self assigned IP.(169.XXX etc.) If I select the DHCP with manual IP-adress option, and enter an IP corresponding to the router IP (192.168.1.1XX), it says that it’s connected, but there’s no internet connection at all. (it acts like a b/g adapter with the difference, that it doesn’t even connect to n-enabled routers, even when the AP is set to be compatible. Everything (well, almost…) works fine, except for the built-in Atheros AR9285 Wireless Adapter, on which the 802.11n connection is not working at all. I finally managed to install OSX on my MSI CR700x laptop.
